Rainy Wedding Day Ideas and Tips, what to do when it rains.

Your wedding day is one of the most special and important days of your life, and with months and even years of planning and preparation it’s only natural to want everything to be perfect. However, no matter how much planning you do, there are always some things that are simply beyond your control – like the weather. With some planning and a positive attitude, rain on your wedding day can be an incredible experience with beautiful, unique images to match.

I have complied a list of suggestions and tips for Rainy Wedding days:

Stay Positive

The first and most important thing to do is to stay positive. Remember, the most important thing about your wedding day is that you are marrying the person you love. Rain may put a damper on your outdoor plans, but it doesn’t have to ruin your day. Take a deep breath, stay calm, and remember that the day is about the two of you and your commitment to each other.

Have a Backup Plan

If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, it’s essential to have a backup plan in case of rain. This could mean having a tent on standby or moving the ceremony and reception to an indoor location. Talk to your wedding planner or venue coordinator ahead of time to ensure that you have a solid backup plan in place. Consider having a basket of towels or blankets on hand, or even offering guests rain boots to keep their feet dry and a couple of extra umbrellas, just in case.

Cute Umbrellas

Don't let rain ruin your style! Consider investing in some cute umbrellas that match your wedding colours or theme. Not only will they protect you and your guests from the rain, but they’ll also make for some adorable photo opportunities.

Get Creative

If you’re feeling adventurous, consider embracing the rain and incorporating it into your wedding day. Imagine romantic photos under an umbrella, dancing in the rain, or even a special rain-themed cocktail for your guests. With a little creativity, a rainy wedding day can be just as magical and fun as a sunny one.

Communicate

Keep your guests informed about any changes in plans due to the weather and consider sending out a message to your guests before the wedding day with any updates or changes.

Creative Lighting

Rainy weather can create a unique and romantic atmosphere. Consider adding some extra lighting to your wedding venue to enhance the ambiance and create a cozy, intimate feeling.

Stay Flexible

Remember that the weather is beyond your control. Stay flexible and open to changing plans if necessary. The most important thing is that you are marrying the person you love, and rain or shine, that’s what matters the most.

Rain on your wedding day doesn't have to be a disaster. With a positive attitude, a backup plan, and a little bit of creativity, you can still have a magical day that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
